War Bear continues to impress with their Star Wars releases. Another month, even more ideas. This time No Honor Among Thieves. This is just part 1, I’m not sure what they will do in part 2.
This is the model that sold me this month. Who doesn’t want a protocol droid in full armor with an assault cannon.
These droids look lovely too. They are fully modular, and one piece sculpts, which is one thing I really like about this studio. I’ve been printing all of these in 25mm. If I’m going to print Star Wars toys, I might as well print them in a “native” scale. Last year, I picked up a couple of the old West End Games metal figures, and I’ve been wanting to use them in a game. These look like they might be a pain to scale down and get something useable. Those legs look spindly.
People of a certain age will agree with me, that speeder bikes are amazing. If you are in your mid-40s, then you probably spent some time watching Return of the Jedi on ABC, when the greatest speeder bike chase of all time.
I am always on the lookout for new speeder bikes. This one is not my favorite of all time, but I’ll take it. I doubt this will print in 25mm, but I’m always a sucker for trying stupid things.
I doubt I need any more Imperial bunkers. I can absolutely use more watch towers.
These are listed as FDM Compatible, and they are. I am not a huge fan of these, they need too many supports to really print well. I don’t actually have these files yet, but I can look at this, and think, what a pain to actually print. I would not support this creator just to get the terrain. Don’t get me wrong, they make great terrain, I just really think they need to work on the slicing to make it less cost intensive to print.
War Bear Studios makes some great models, and I highly recommend that you give them a look.
Do you use tree supports?
