Welcome to the Major General Tremorden Rederring Memorial Web Directory. This project, named in honor of the greatest miniature wargaming website of all time, is a directory of fascinating and delightful websites from hobbyists of tabletop wargaming and RPGs.

Criteria for inclusions and instructions on how to submit new candidates can be found here.


Miniature Wargames

  • At the Queen’s Command - J.P. Medved’s homebrewed wargaming, mostly featuring toy soldiers in ImagiNations and fantasy settings. Also features game reviews, 3D printing, and metafictional commentary.

  • Andreivian Tales - Modern ImagiNations wargaming. An aggregator of blogposts related to the wargames campaign occurring in the fictional, post-USSR Republic of Andreivia.

  • Blogs of War - An even more expansive effort at a wargames directory, with over 1500 wargaming blogs linked.

  • Chad Nabors - Miniature wargaming and model building, painting, and crafting, mostly focused on Battletech and other sci-fi games.

  • The Dice Abide - A wargaming blog/vlog with good coverage of Infinity armies and tactics.

  • Jim’s SF Novels and Wargame Rules - The blog of the Venerable Jim Webster, author of the "Hellfire" series of wargames rules and campaign books.

  • Joy of Wargaming - Jon Mollison's blog about whatever he happens to be working on at the moment. Wargame and RPG posts ranging across Historical, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and most other genres. Also see the podcast link below.

  • Kaja’s Tiny Tanks - 3D printing STLs for historical tanks in a variety of scales.

  • The Land of Counterpane - The birthplace of the Andreivia ImagiNation campaign, as well as general wargamer blogging.

  • The Victor’s Spoils - Tabletop game parlor and bookstore owned by the editor!

  • Lone Warrior - The Solo Wargamers Association, founded in 1976, is a loose grouping of soloists from around the world. Lone Warrior is our quarterly journal. This site also includes sample articles from Lone Warrior, as well as information on how to subscribe.

  • Trader’s Galaxy - Trader’s Galaxy has games based on the 1980’s ascetic. Cartoons like: Transformers, GI Joe, Ghostbusters. Video Games like: Final Fight, Street Fighter. If you ever wanted giant robots fighting giant squid alien monsters fighting dinosaurs, they have it.

  • Under The Dice - Underground hobbying fanzine, hosts of Under The Dice Fest, and writers of the Flames of Orion wargames rules.

  • Wargame Culture Design Journal - Purple Druid’s substack of wargame design. Includes book and rule reviews and articles about the development of his fantasy skirmish game, The Killing Fields.

  • Wargaming Hobby - Lots of great how-to articles and beautiful ‘Eavy Metal style pictures showcasing handmade terrain terrain and oldhammer minis.

Adventure and Role Playing Games

  • Bdubs and Dragons - Classid AD&D 1st Edition blog with some Brosr and Braunstein’s thrown in.

  • Classic Marvel Forever - Indispensable resource for the old TSR Marvel Superheroes RPG. Includes downloads of all the out of print books, as well as fan-made supplements, house rules, DC and other comic characters, and lots more. Recommended!

  • D6 Holocron - Indispensable resource for the old West End Games D6 Star Wars RPG, including PDF downloads of the out of print books. Highly recommended!

  • Don’t Split the Party - RPG veteran GM and author Rick Stump’s blog, featuring the 45+ year Seaward D&D campaign and lots of useful advice and commentary. Recommended!

  • Dungeon of Signs - Blog about a science-fantasy modification of OD&D, and articles on game theory and supplementing

  • Fluid Druid - Mostly roleplaying related. Primary focus AD&D. But other wargames may be discussed on occasion as well.

  • Grey-Elf - A repository of knowledge and resources for fans of AD&D and its retroclones.

  • Joy of Wargaming - Jon Mollison's blog about whatever he happens to be working on at the moment. Wargame and RPG posts ranging across Historical, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and most other genres. Also see the podcast link below.

  • The Rogue’s Journal - The Careful Rogue’s in-character narratives and meta commentary on his RPG sessions. Mostly old school D&D and Traveller. See also the podcast section.

  • Swords and Stitchery - A very wide-ranging blog covering older and more obscure RPG supplements, with plenty for fans of Traveller, CoC, Cepheus, in addition to D&D.

  • Walker’s Lakeside Clubhouse - Author Bradford C. Walker’s articles on games and clubs. Mostly D&D oriented.

  • Charles Latora - Charles posts short videos about whatever game he happens to be playing this week. Mostly wargame focused, both miniature and board.
